On August 13th, 1961 interzone train no. 151 departs Munich central station bound for East Berlin. However, the passengers onboard are completely unaware of the dramatic events currently unfolding in the East German capital – events that will change the course of world history and the map of Europe for almost three decades. As the train makes its way through the Bavarian countryside, rumours start spreading from carriage to carriage: The East German regime is building a wall in Berlin, thus closing the border to West Germany! When these rumours turn out to be true, the clock ticks and pressure grows for the 19 fated East German train passengers. Only three and a half hours remain for them to make the decision of a lifetime: stay onboard the train and continue their journey to a newly divided Berlin, or depart before reaching the border station and start a new, but uncertain life in the West?
