This filmic journey into the year 1021 – to the emergence of today’s Hungary, the so-called Hungarian “conquest” –also offers a view at the Christianization of a “new” world. At that time, this was a marginal area and a place where different cultural influences and religions overlapped. Anita Lackenberger’s documentary shows the influence this “land grab” had on the surrounding countries – including the territory of present-day Austria.
