The little town of Marienberg is situated in the Ore Mountains of eastern Germany. Its late Gothic Church of St. Mary is the setting for the Christmas concert Gloria in Excelsis Deo. The soprano Ruth Ziesak, the Wernigerode Radio Youth Choir, the Ensemble Sonora and the Sächsische Bläserphilharmonie under its conductor Thomas Clamor perform a range of music that suits the festive season.
