This lively production of Gioacchino Rossini’s opera “La Cenerentola” delights audiences with its fresh and modern interpretation. Ilaria Lanzino takes on the role of director, examining stereotypes and entrenched gender roles. In addition to opulent costumes, rousing compositions, and colorful stage design, the work as a whole is a spectacle that promises an entertaining and exhilarating evening of opera. The rebellious Cinderella is played by Ekaterina Aleksandrova, and other audience favorites from the Graz Opera, such as Wilfried Zelinka, Daeho Kim, Sofia Vinnik, Ekaterina Solunya, and Ivan Orešcanin, also make an appearance. The Graz Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Marius Burkert, principal conductor at Graz Opera and chief conductor of the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl.
