In this documentary, one and a half years of intensive research have brought to light a topic that touches on many taboos: the connection between sex and drugs. The film covers the alarming trend of Chemsex, which in a world driven by competition, pressure to perform, and self-optimization, leads more people to use drugs to relax during sex. Tanja, a 46-year-old woman, shares her story of dependency that arose from substance use during sexual activities. After her sex life dwindled in a 15-year marriage, she sought liberation through casual sex under the influence of drugs, only to find herself trapped. At Chemsex parties, where individuals often engage in sexual activities for days, personal and mutual boundaries are frequently crossed. Dorian, a 29-year-old, shares his experience of being under the influence for five consecutive days, which resulted in the destruction of his career. The documentary reveals that Chemsex addicts often appear inconspicuous and successful in their professional lives while secretly indulging in drug-fueled excesses. Psychotherapist Christof Mitter and addiction counselor Miriam Alvarado-Dupuy explain that lengthy therapy is necessary for individuals to learn how to have sober sex again and to process their past, while a general practitioner addresses the addiction and health impacts of chemically influenced sex, highlighting how new drugs quickly lead to addiction, dull pain perception, and damage internal organs.
