What means do we have in hand to arm ourselves against injustice, extremism and radicalization in the world today? Anna Jermolaewa has a few ideas. The film accompanies Austrian artist Anna Jermolaewa as she makes the final preparations for her major appearance in the Austrian pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024. As in most of her works, it will deal politically and poetically with socially relevant issues of our time: the struggle for human rights, the defense of civil rights, the drama of seeking refuge and how resistance works under increasingly repressive and dictatorial regimes, which Anna Jermolaewa herself experienced as a child and teenager.
