“Christmas in Vienna” from the Wiener Konzerthaus is as much a part of the Advent season as the Christmas markets. It is always an atmospheric Christmas concert by the Wiener Sängerknaben, the Vienna Singing Academy and the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. Internationally successful singers bring special musical colors with Christmas songs from their homeland. This year’s concert will see a reunion with Joyce DiDonato and Lawrence Brownlee. French soprano Patricia Petibon is performing for the first time this year and completes the trio of soloists. The Vienna Choir Girls will also celebrate their Christmas in Vienna debut this winter in the Great Hall of the Konzerthaus. Claire Levacher will be the musical director for the second time. Felix Breisach is responsible for the visual direction.
