Ready for some not-so-usual divorce craziness? Hubert and Helga are separated, and are both in new relationships. Their kids are fine with it. Life goes on, even if they don’t always get along. They all reunite in Herbert’s parents’ home in Graz to celebrate their grandmother’s birthday together. Patricia, Herbert’s girlfriend, is going to meet everyone for the first time. But it quickly becomes clear that the ill, elderly woman isn’t aware of any changes in her son’s private life. The family agrees to protect her by acting as if nothing has changed. The birthday dinner goes smoothly until they are all on edge, exhausted, drunk and desperate to the point where they don’t remember who they are supposed to be – or to want to be with.
