When the winemaker Alois Fabsits is found dead in his wine cellar, everything points to an accident involving fermentation gas. Inspector Sifkovits is enjoying a day off with his mother Baba when the emergency vehicles draw his attention. His boss orders him to stay out of it, but Sifkovits has to do what he does best – investigate! There is no shortage of suspects: Fabsits was known to treat both his staff and his business rivals badly. In addition, there is the multigenerational argument about an inherited wine cellar and, eventually, an old smuggling matter rears its head. Sifkovits once again finds himself seeking support from his allies in the all-knowing “headscarf mafia”, which consists of his mother and her friends Hilda Resetarits and Resl Grandits.
