Where Science Meets Instinct
The animals on our planet are always on the move. Some cross skies, dive into oceans, or span continents over thousands of kilometres. One mystery links them all: how little we truly understand about these epic — and often unseen — journeys.

This three-part series explores migration on land, in air, and through water, focusing on science still shrouded in mystery. We reveal how animals navigate using Earth’s magnetic fields, solar cues, and instinct; what happens as they burn energy, fight exhaustion, and survive extremes; and how climate, predators, and human activity shape each journey. Each episode uses cinematic CGI and precise GFX to map global routes and make the invisible visible — from magnetic fields in a bird’s brain to molecular shifts in a whale’s muscles after weeks without food. The aim is not just to document migration, but to investigate it — challenging what we think we know about nature’s greatest travellers.
