The equally impressive and diverse mountain landscape of South Tyrol is the star of this documentary: Starting in the north, in the Obernberger Valley at the Brenner Pass, the film travels across the valleys to the south onto the Earth Pyramids of Ritten, above Bolzano. On his journey through northern Italy’s alpine country, filmmaker Hans Jöchler meets locals who not only work in this region in harmony with nature, but also live there. The finale of this documentary takes us to new heights: To the highest mountains in the region, the Ortler and the Königsspitze.
