This new ORF III production sheds light on the mass murder committed by the Nazi regime at Hartheim Castle based on current research findings and the testimonies of contemporary witnesses.The life traces of victims, perpetrators, resistance fighters, and castle neighbors illustrate through their personal fates and experiences how this horrific extermination system operated. However, despite the concealment and destruction of evidence before the end of the war, files, photographs, artifacts, and data of those whose lives were closely intertwined with the castle or ended there continue to emerge.
