After several years spent living in Africa, young veterinarian Kajo returns to Germany with his two sons, Liam and Sam. The three of them move into a big house in the idyllic village of Waldau. It’s quite a change of scenery for the little family: the crocodiles are gone, replaced by spotted salamanders – and instead of zebras, they have a blind horse and a broken-hearted gander to deal with. It doesn’t take the boys long to make new friends who will accompany them and their menagerie of assorted creatures on all kinds of exciting adventures.
