The pop star Melanie Buchauer has taken a break from her career and returned to the country to look after her grandmother. She needs time to recuperate following the shitstorm she has just been through. Gone are the glittering outfits and the stage lights – now it is all about rubber boots, sheep, and chickens. Her manager Nina and her partner Marc are united in their refusal to accept Melanie’s little time-out. Without a new hit, she can kiss her music career goodbye. The local national park ranger Ben is less than impressed by the new arrival, but is distracted by a series of illegal rock demolitions in the area. When one of these explosions causes a large rock to hit a farmhouse, Melanie’s world also comes crashing down. She realizes that she has to sort out her life and finally find the song that will get her back on stage. But does she really want to go back?
