Renowned wildlife filmmaker Kim Wolhuter invites you for a behind-the-scenes-look at his personal and professional life in this docu-series. While making a film about misunderstood hyenas, he and his family venture out with their beloved vintage bush mobile “Joanie”, for daily adventures – filming themselves and their breathtaking wildlife encounters – in an untamed corner of Zimbabwe. The curious questions of his little daughter Kiki and his wife who comes from the city are a constant conduit for Kim to share his extensive bush knowledge. Teaching moments with Kiki are informative without being preachy. As she learns about the little bugs and plants the audience does too. Exciting events add to the dynamic nature of the show – Kim and his family take part in an annual rhino capture and ear notching, animal translocations, and even film the antipoaching team in training as part of their work. Being permanent residents on a private reserve, they have limitless access to film all of Africa’s amazing creatures. Join the bare footed Kim as he shares his daily interaction with hyenas, badgers, elephants and lions, and how his adorable two-year-old daughter Kiki enjoys her unique surroundings.
